How to Set Up a Smart Meter Texas Account
Mosey on over to smartmetertexas.com.
Hit “Sign Up,” then choose “Residential Account.”
Fill in your personal details and have these handy:
ESI ID: You’ll find this on your Energy Texas bill under “Account Overview.”
Meter Number: That’s listed under “Usage History” on your Energy Texas bill.
IMPORTANT: Energy Texas is owned by Rhythm Energy, so you'll want to select Rhythm as your retail provider.
4. Retail Provider Info: RHYTHM OPS LLC (LSE), Certificate #10279 24 Greenway Plaza, Suite 610 Houston, TX 77046
5. Create a username, agree to the terms, and you’re good to go.
How to View Your Usage Information
Once your account’s set up and you’re lookin’ at your dashboard:
First, make sure your service address is correct.
Under Report Type, select Energy Data 15 Min Intervals.
Pick the Start Date and End Date that match your billing period.
Hit Submit Update, then click Export My Report to download your usage as an Excel file.
Total It All Up
Click the top value in that filtered column (right under the title),
Then hold SHIFT + CTRL and tap the down arrow—that’ll highlight the whole column and show you the total at the bottom.
